Was it difficult to get this internship?

For me it wasn’t because I was working with the same company since I have started studying at IBS.

What was your impression of the selection process?

I can only talk about the selection process I have attended recently for another job. I think it always looks tedious, and you are always scared to say something wrong. But you only get to know that you can have the confidence when it is already ’too late’ (when you already get the job).

What would you suggest for the 2nd year students, to get the right placement?

Rather the one they want? Well I think they should start looking for a job as early as possible. I still get replies from jobs I applied to nearly a year ago. I would also advise people to try to get jobs abroad, it is such a rewarding experience, and you always feel you know more after. A whole new world opens up.

If you had a chance to go back one or two years ago, would you change your mind and have the placement year a bit different?

I have been working on many things at once, so I am happy it turned out this way. I guess if I would not have had the responsibilities I did have then, I would have went abroad carefree. Which I did before for studies so I know it is great experience; I just couldn’t do it this time. I think us students tend to underrate the carefree placement work/year.

What was the most enjoyable task you did during the placement? Or what did you enjoy the most from your placement experience?

When they give you big projects to work on. When you have the last call, it is your decision, your “baby”. When you finish the project you are extremely proud and you feel like you have become ‘more’. It’s the bright side of responsibilities.

What was the most interesting and the most boring task you did?

Most interesting? I have a big project going on, where as I said, it is my call that is the last call. This can be very interesting, especially if your outcome affects the entire company. Most boring? When I had to change the title name one by one of 354 articles on the website, and put them in categorical order.

How did Arts management programme help you to fulfill the job?

Oh, In many, many ways. It has really helped me through the days. It would be too long to explain here. I guess IBS has taught me that I should work for what I want, what I find important.

How do you think, what is the most important character of an Arts Manager? (Give only one character)

I guess most people who know me will smile right now, but I think this character is will. You can be anyone in the world. You can be the most repulsive person or even the most attractive, if you have the will power to push you until your goal nothing else matters. Why? Because you will find out how to deal with things along the way, you just need the will to go on. The will to succeed.

What is the most unusual thing you learned while working? Thing(s) that you did not know before.

Let me put it this way: How unnecessary is it to be honest.
